About Kristin Delfau, EA
Kristin is an Enrolled Agent and President of Delfau Tax & Financial Services, LLC, located in Sarasota, FL. Prior to moving to Sarasota in 2018, she spent 16 years in Danbury, CT.
She received a B.A. from Rollins College, an M.A. from the University of Westminster and is a Fulbright scholar. She is a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP) as well as the NY/CT Association of Tax Professionals. She has been working with personal income taxes and life insurance since 2004.
Kristin is insurance licensed in FL, CT, NY, MA, and PA. She is an independent agent who is also certified to work with CT Partnership Long-Term Care Insurance. She speaks fluent French.
What’s an Enrolled Agent?
An Enrolled Agent (EA) is a person who has earned the privilege of representing taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service by showing distinguished competence in tax matters.
Enrolled agents, like attorneys and certified public accountants (CPAs), are unrestricted as to which taxpayers they can represent, what types of tax matters they can handle, and which IRS offices they can practice before.

Kristin is the author of Turbo-Mom’s Guide to Saving Money Without Wasting Time (Aji, 2009).
She was also a contributor to and wrote the foreword for The Enrolled Agent’s Tax Consulting Practice Guide (PassKey Publications, 2010).
Kristin has been giving talks regularly on topics such as “How to Start a Small Business in Connecticut” throughout the Greater Danbury area.
